Is music theory like learning Chinese or maths for you? Is it all too much for you? Do you think that it (music theory) is only accessible to the so-called "gifted"? Or is it all too theoretical for you?

The fault doesn't have to lie with you! In my experience, music theory tends to be taught in the same way as teaching someone to cook strictly according to a recipe, but forbidding them to taste and savour. All music theory is an attempt to describe the collective feeling of the musical forces, which means that the feeling was already there before the theory, including in you. We can bring this buried feeling to light together and explore the various aspects of music theory in a felt/perceived way. We start with the very rudimentary forces and look at how they developed through classical music to jazz, pop and blues.

 

The final course, "Unexpectedly Musical", looks at all the inhibiting and blocking forces that prevent you from making music, freed from fear, I will show you techniques to overcome old outdated beliefs (such as "I'm just not musical enough").

• All "Feel understood" courses + workshop take place conveniently via Zoom in your own environment. They cost €35 each individually, all four together €120 .

• Personal coaching sessions: 110 € / hour
